Folie à Deux, Napa
Folie Label

Folie à Deux is the French term meaning "shared fantasies".  The winery was conceived by two close friends who turned their passion for wine and mutual dream of owning a winery into reality in 1981.  The distinctive twin dancers logo so closely associated with the winery was designed by a local artist to evoke the notion of a delightful shared experience.  Sharing the joy of wine is something which the many visitors and fans of Folie à Deux wines have come to appreciate deeply. Over the years, the Folie à Deux portfolio of elite, small-production Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Amador County Zinfandel has earned numerous accolades and awards and appears on the wine lists of America's finest restaurants. The popular red and white blends called Menage à Trois are delicious, approachable, affordable wines suitable with any meal.

Trinchero Family Estate, California

TrincheroThe Trinchero family immigrated to the US from northern Italy in the 1920s. In 1948 they moved to Napa Valley and purchased an abandoned 19th-century winery called Sutter Home. In 1960, the second generation of Trincheros took over and, at the end of the decade, moved the winery away from bulk sales and into bottled varietal wines. In the early 1970s, the Trincheros gained a lofty reputation among consumers, press and gatekeepers for their single-vineyard Zinfandels out of Amador County . They were, in fact, among the first of California 's boutique wineries to recognize the potential of the Sierra Foothills. In 1972, the Trincheros created the world's first White Zinfandel and the rest, as they say, is history.

Fifty years later, to honor their heritage and long history in Napa Valley , the family launched Trinchero Winery. The Trinchero wines are divided into two tiers. The Napa Reserve wines are single-vineyard bottlings featuring grapes from the family's 200 acres of estate vineyards in Napa Valley . The Trinchero Family wines showcase the Napa vineyards plus 200 acres in Lake County and 525 acres in Santa Barbara County .

Montevina, Amador County

MontevinaMontevina specializes in adventurous red varietals well suited to the warm growing season and lean, rocky soils of Amador County . The estate vineyard is composed of 400 farmed acres on a series of gentle slopes between 1,300 and 1,600 feet in elevation. In 2000, a stunning new 64,000 square foot winery opened on the site of the original winery. The most technologically advanced in the Sierra Foothills, the facility is designed to promote gentle handling of the grapes, optimal flavor extraction and longer aging.

Terra d'Oro means “ Land of Gold ” and is the name of Montevina's Reserve wines. Produced in limited quantities, Terra d'Oro wines come from older (average 50 years) low-yielding vines, spend longer time in barrel and receive more bottle age. Only produced in exceptional years, they are the best of the best from Montevina.

Little Boomey, Southern Australia

Boomey

Named after Australia’s ancient aboriginal boomerangs, Little Boomey wines have the rich, full-bodied fruit that consumers have grown to love. Little Boomey is sourced and produced in the sunny Renmark/Riverland region of South Australia by Angove’s, one of Australia’s oldest and most respected wine companies. Angove’s is one of the founding families of the Australian wine industry, with over a century of experience growing and producing wines in South Australia. The Little Boomey portfolio includes 4 varietals - Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon - and 2 blends - Shiraz/Cabernet and Cabernet/Merlot - with each varietal and blend offered in two sizes, 750mL and 1.5L. Younger wine consumers are looking for wines that have a fun, non-traditional wine image. Little Boomey has a unique and memorable name, and a package that captures the Aussie spirit with bright colors and an authentic Aussie design. With hundreds of available wines to choose, and the impulse nature of purchase decisions, a strong brand identity and packaging are more important than ever. If rich, full-bodied fruit and authentic Aussie packaging wasn’t enough to attract attention, throw in competitive price points to help generate trial, and much like the boomerang, consumers will be coming back for more.

Reynolds, New South Wales, Australia

Reynolds Vineyards is located in one of Australia’s most heralded new wine regions, Orange, New South Wales. About 150 miles west of Sydney in an extensive area of high country along the western edge of the Great Dividing Range, Orange is the most exciting of a number of emerging viticultural regions specializing in cool-climate varieties. Climatically similar to other exceptional Australian wine regions such as Margaret River, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, and the Yarra Valley, Orange also closely resembles Bordeaux in mean temperatures, sunshine hours, and rainfall.

The Orange region is distinguished by a sunny, cool climate and hillside vineyards planted to a maximum altitude of 3,500 feet. There are two appellations: Orange, which indicates 85% of the blend was sourced from hillside vineyards planted above 2,000 feet and New South Wales, signifying that less than 85% of the fruit comes from hillside vineyards above 2,000 feet.

The largest vineyard owner and wine producer in the Orange region is Reynolds Wine Ltd., farming nearly 2,200 acres of vines and operating a 20,000-ton capacity winery. Since 1995, the company has invested $45 million to develop three prime vineyard sites: Little Boomey (1,250 acres), Angullong (450 acres), and Wirrilla (450 acres). The vineyards are planted 80% to red varieties (Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot) and 20% to white varieties (Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) and collectively are known as Reynolds Vineyards. All Reynolds Vineyards wines are produced from grapes grown on these estate vineyards.
